You Go Girl has a new Ambassador!

Ashlee Zaragoza

Ashlee is an Outreach Coordinator at The Kim Foundation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies at UNO in December of 2022, and is starting her Master’s of Public Administration Graduate program at UNO in the fall of 2024. Ashlee has previous experience in leadership, management, hospitality and training development. Ashlee’s passion for people has driven her into a role where she will acts as a supportive resource and compassionate voice for those affected by suicide and mental health. She currently focuses on outreach through presentations, events, and community initiatives. Ashlee’s passion for the education of women and inspiring them to build confidence and skills that will propel them to new avenues in life is what lead her to begin volunteering with You Go Girl Omaha.

You Go Girl Goes to Lincoln!🌟

Hey You GO Girl Omaha family! This past weekend was one for the books as we set up our very first booth of the year at the Inspire Girls event in Lincoln, Nebraska. Not only was it an unforgettable experience, but it also marked an exciting chapter for us I officially dedicate my full energy to You Go Girl. 🌈

We were thrilled to share journals, pens, candies, and stickers, but the true gift was the inspiration we received from all the incredible girls and women we met. Their dreams, ambition, and kindness were the highlight of our weekend, reminding us why we do what we do.

Special shout out to Cheri from the Omaha World Herald, Maggi Thorne who brought an unforgettable keynote and snapped some of these cool pics, Estelle who made my jean jacket especially for this event and her mom Dawn who I met at the Omaha Children’s Business Fair. Exciting and informative STEM Saturday for young girls

Our team had the privilege of collaborating with Girls Inc of Omaha Eureka Program to organize an exciting and informative STEM Saturday for young girls. The event was packed with a range of activities that aimed to educate and inspire participants about the possibilities and opportunities available in STEM fields.

We provided the girls with a variety of prizes, books, and other materials that they could take home and use to enhance their knowledge and understanding of STEM subjects. Moreover, we organized a series of workshops and talks that featured speakers from different STEM fields who shared their experiences, insights, and advice with the girls.

The event was a great success, and we hope that it helped to motivate and encourage more young girls to pursue careers in STEM.
